Multiblade Gangsaw Machine
The multiblade gangsaw is a machinery composed of blades used to produce slabs from one or more blocks placed on a bench.
The number of blades depends on the size of the block and on the machine itself, so there could be machines with 10 blades but also with 100 blades or more.
There are multiblade gangsaws for marble or granite;
the latter are being replaced by multiwire machines, while the first are increasingly used.
These marble machines differ in two different categories: open saws and closed saws.
The open saws, usually from 10 to 40 blades, allow to cut even only portions of the block, moving it also many times through the sliding bench.
The closed saws instead, usually with 60 blades and more, allow the cutting of the whole block in a single pass.
