Diamond Single-Wire Saw Machine
The diamond single-wire saw is a machinery used for squaring stone blocks, for the production of slabs or marble and granite blocks profiling.
In this machine the cut is performed by a diamond wire (wire to which synthetic diamond beads are applied).
There are many types of these machines:
- Stationary single wire saws: they perform simple vertical cutting; are installed on rigid structures, and the block is placed on a bench, which it could be fixed or revolving, that moves on rails.
- Roller wire saws: their particularity is that they are installed directly on rails, in order to the machine could reach the fixed blocks ready for cutting.
This type of machine allows reducing organization time of marble or granite blocks.
- Shaping wire saws: these machines perform block profiling in 2D or 3D, thanks to: the possibility to work with 3, 4 or 5 axes, the revolving bench, the tilting wire that allows to do horizontal and mitre cuts.
The 3D cuts are performed by an Autocad program.
